1. A container of sand weighed 5 kg when it was 1/2 full, and weighed 4 kg when it was 1/3 full. What was the weight of the container when it was full?



Answer: 8 kg



2. YY had some money. She bought a necklace for $250 and spent 1/4 of the remaining money on a ring. She still had 1/3 of her money left. How much did YY spend on the ring?



Answer: $50



3. Joanne, Ann and Yati share $240. Joanne receives 1/3 as much money as Yati. After Ann gave $20 of her money to Joanne, Joanne has 1/2 as much money as Yati. How much money does Ann have at first?



Answer: $80


4. Adi and Furqan had $71 altogether. Furqan and Zam had $105 altogether. Adi had 3/5 of the money that Zam had. How much money did Furqan have?
