Dear Pupils
Come next Tuesday (21 July 2009), we will be commemorating Racial Harmony Day. On the day, we will be playing the Chinese Chess and Tigers and Goats on the chess boards that you will be making over the next few days.
We can play Chinese Chess on ready made boards but we will have to make the boards for Tigers and Goats. I would want all of you to form into groups of 5 get the boards done in the weekend. Each group must have a Chinese Chess set and Tigers and Goats set on Tuesday.
I am eager to find out who will be game enough to try out on the traditional toy Tapak Kuda. You will need two identical cans, preferably short and wide, and a piece of long string to make this toy.
Please set aside your precious time to have some fun in the making of either the chess boards of the Tapak Kuda. I am sure you will find great learning points in the process.
I can't wait to see your creations and play them next Tuesday!
